Bertha Continues in Atlantic; T.D. Five-E in Pacific

In the Atlantic Basin, Tropical Storm Bertha is moving quickly to the west at 21 mph, but is expected to slow down a little in the next few days. Bertha is about halfway between the coast of Africa and the Lesser Antilles. For more information, please see the Atlantic Summary.
Tropical Depression Five-E has formed in the Eastern Pacific and is currently located east of Acapulco, Mexico. Tropical storm watches and warnings are in effect for portions of the western coast of Mexico. For more information, please see the Eastern Pacific Summary.
Elsewhere in the tropics, no tropical storms are found or expected to develop during the next 48 hours.
